Museum’s face lift complete

A year-long face lift of the Perkins County Museum is coming to a close. Finished within the last year was the painting of the exterior of the main house, along with painting of the trim. Completing the work for the museum was Jack Cannedy, walking in the picture at right, and his son Cedric. Perkins County Historical Society President Brenda Styskal said that with the painting complete, the board will now turn its attention to begin organizing the exhibit hall, which itself went under a major renovation last year to fix leaks in the building. The items from the hall had been stored at a location off the site of the museum grounds.
